Night of Worship
God is crazy faithful.
I did not accept God into my life at church or around a bunch of believers but in my dorm room in early 2013. I remember that night so clearly. I hated school, I had unhealthy relationships and my confidence and self-worth were lost in the midst of other people's opinions.
I did not have a ton of knowledge of the gospel, however, I couldn’t mistake the gentle voice that I heard that night. It was a voice that echoed with love and graces that said, “I will fight for you.”
It was through this encounter that I decided to follow God. I had no idea what I was committing to, but three years later I can sing at the top of my lungs (off-key of course) that it was the best decisions I have ever made.
A Night of Worship was birthed out of my passion for sharing the gospel. I fervently prayed that God would use me where I was. This is so essential. So many of us want to be used by going to new places, traveling abroad or getting a bunch of followers, however, God can use you exactly where you are‑ right now at this moment.
I’m at Columbia College Chicago, so God used me to impact this campus. What started out as a vision that seemed to BIG for me to complete transformed into a community of believers using their gifts and talents to set aside their agendas to praise the name of Jesus Christ.
The second Night of Worship was on October 15, 2016. We serve a consistent and never changing God. I’m so thankful to everyone who made this experience happen! Here are some pictures and videos from the night. Enjoy!
